Kansas Jayhawks Volleyball hosts the Kansas Invitational

A tough field includes perennial tournament team Belmont, #17 Purdue, and #9 Creighton.

Fresh off a drubbing of #13 Kentucky, your #7-ranked Kansas Jayhawks face their toughest test yet in hosting the Jayhawk Invitational, which features Ohio Valley favorite Belmont, #17 Purdue, and #9 Creighton.

Each squad will play the other three squads. KU’s schedule for this weekend is:

FRI 12:00 Belmont

FRI 7:00 Purdue

SAT 7:30 Creighton

How to Watch

All three KU matches will be televised on the Jayhawk Television Network (Spectrum Cable), WatchESPN.com, and ESPN3. Leif Lisec has the play-by-play alongside the newest friend of the site, Jill Dorsey-Hall.

Get to know the 2017 Jayhawks

KU has been ranked in the top-25 for the last 33 polls. Even better than that, though, KU has been in the top-10 in 28 of the last 29 polls.

KU has the highest winning percentage of any program in the country since the beginning of the 2015 season (64-6, .914).

Since the advent of the Big 12 in 1996, Kansas was just the second team not named Nebraska or Texas to win the Big 12 regular season outright in volleyball. In 2016, KU finished a full game ahead of Texas in the conference standings. (The first was K-State in 2003.)
