Kansas Football may take running back by committee approach

With top juco recruit Octavius Matthews yet to be medically cleared to practice, the running back spot is looking more and more like a committee position between Khalil Herbert, Taylor Martin, Dom Williams, and Deron Thompson.

Doug Meacham says he doesn’t care what happened last year, when KU turned the ball over an FBS leading 36 times. Meacham also notes that Daylon Charlot will miss a couple of days of practice due to a “tweak” and that both Carter Stanley and Peyton Bender are getting equal reps with the first and second teams.

It seems to me like it would be difficult to learn anything about Bill Self’s squad after four pretty ridiculous exhibition games, but Matt Tait gives it a try.
