Have a happy and safe 4th!

Just a few things for ya today:

Benton Smith writes that Kansas has bowl hopes - for 2017! Is that crazy or what? Actually, that’s good, because if the players aren’t preparing to win and thinking they can win, then there is no way they ever would win.

The New Orleans Time-Picayune did a countdown of the top 20 high school players in the New Orleans area, and two current KU commits made the list, both in the top five. One player missing? Five-star Devonta Jason.

Russell Robinson has been a professional player overseas for nine years now, and doesn’t plan on slowing down anytime soon. However, that means he’s never been to a game in Allen Fieldhouse as a fan.

Members of KU basketball will be running a camp in Frontenac, KS (near Pittsburg).

MLB umpire Angel Hernandez is suing the league and the commissioner for racial discrimination, saying he’s been passed over for World Series assignments due to his ethnicity.

The Home Run Derby participants have been announced.

Aaaaaaaand I’m done let’s all go enjoy the holiday! Everybody come back with all your fingers!
