Kansas baseball sweeps twinbill |
Early in Saturday’s doubleheader, Kansas baseball looked like a team playing its sixth game in seven days, as well as its second doubleheader in that time frame. Coach Ritch Price noted the velocity of a lot of his pitchers was down from earlier in the week, and freshman James Cosentino admitted the team was worn out.

“Just going out there, just enjoying it, having fun and making sure that we give the fans a good time and really get a chance to interact with them a little bit more,” Lucas said. “The signing line is pretty nice because we get a chance to say hello to each one real quick and then playing against some of the local guys and the high school players, that’s always fun.”

KU softball falls to Iowa State |

He held off a late charge from Lookin At Lee, Battle of Midway and Classic Empire to claim the roses on Saturday by two-and-three-quarter lengths. Always Dreaming has now won three consecutive races this year after finishing second and third in his first two races.

Warriors owner hopes coach Steve Kerr returns soon after Friday's back procedure -

McDonald's All-American Kevin Knox adds to Kentucky's ridiculous 2017 class -
One of the biggest commitments in the 2017 college basketball recruiting cycle was revealed Saturday night via Twitter. Kevin Knox, a 6-foot-9 forward out of Tampa, finally ended the speculation.

He'll be playing for John Calipari and Kentucky next season. It's a rare case of a five-star commitment coming out of the blue, as no one had any grasp on Knox's leanings before he made his choice public.
