Kansas Jayhawks Football Fails to have a player selected in the 2017 NFL Draft

It wasn't a huge surprise, but there was some optimism heading into the final rounds.

Coming in to the NFL Draft, there was a bit of optimism that the Kansas Jayhawks could get a player drafted after failing to have one selected last year. Unfortunately, the final day passed without any of the 4 potential prospects hearing their name called.

Safeties Fish Smithson and Tevin Shaw were eligible to be drafted, along with CB Brandon Stewart and FB Michael Zunica. Smithson was graded as a potential 6th or 7th round pick, but instead will have to join his fellow teammates in trying to earn a spot in training camp as an undrafted free agent.

We'll keep an eye on the UDFA signings and let you know where any former Jayhawks are headed.
