The Kansas Jayhawks survived their Top 3 matchup with Baylor on Wednesday to retake the lead in the conference race. They have a “rivalry” game with Kansas State coming up in Manhattan on Monday night. In between is what very well could be a trap game against the Iowa State Cyclones today in Allen Fieldhouse. Will the Jayhawks emerge victorious?
Fizzle406: Gotta go Kansas here. KU handled the Hawkeyes in Ames and they certainly will in Kansas. Kansas 87, Iowa state 65
dnoll5: With this team, I will rarely say this but….. pound it down low. Let Jackson operate wherever he wants, let Lucas/Lightfoot/Coleby open up space, and pound Iowa State down low. It should open up Mason, Graham, and Svi for some threes as well. Kansas 99, Iowa State 77.
Mike: I think fizzle is on to something, and I think dnoll hammered it home. KU won in Ames because the Jayhawks were able to exploit ISU’s frontcourt. I think that only gets magnified inside Allen Fieldhouse. With all of the off the court issues surrounding the KU program, I look for them to rally around each other, feed off the energy in the building, and pull away for a big win. Kansas 90, Iowa State 75.
Andy: Iowa State has been completely underwhelming this year. I'm not really expecting much of a challenge in this game, and there isn't much to add from what everyone else said. Kansas 89, Iowa State 70.
