The Kansas Jayhawks have made their way to Lubbock, TX for a matchup with the Texas Tech Red Raiders, one of 5 Big 12 teams on the bubble and fighting for their tournament life. Can Kansas avoid being a high profile casualty today?
Fizzle406: Playing in Lubbock is difficult but I think the Jayhawks will be ok. Kansas 76, Texas Tech 65
David: Tech shoots very well, and Kansas doesn’t defend very well. Kansas has an advantage pretty much everywhere else, but with the run of big games KU has had to play, going to Lubbock probably isn’t going to bring out their best shot. I don’t think they’ll lose, but I think it could be ugly, especially given how slow Tech likes to play. Kansas 74, Texas Tech 68
Mike: Helluva analysis by fizzle there… anyway, didn’t we not beat Tech by very much a few weeks ago in Lawrence? I dunno what to think here. It’s a game the Jayhawks shouldn’t lose. It would take some real stones to pick against them. I don’t think I can do it. Kansas 80, Texas Tech 77.
dnoll5: SEE YOU ON THE COURT! THE SECURITY OF 13 STRAIGHT BIG 12 TITLES IS AT STAKE! Kansas 77, Tech 67.
KU Grad 08: Between KSU in Manhattan and the upcoming games against Baylor and Western Virginia this has “trap game” written all over it. Fortunately, even if we don’t play our best, I don’t think Tech is quite good enough to beat us. Tech can’t shoot any better than they did in the second half against us in Lawrence and it still wasn’t enough to make us sweat too much. I think KU holds a small lead throughout and finishes at the end, much like we did in Manhattan on Monday.Kansas 75, Texas Tech 70.
Andy: I honestly wouldn't be surprised by any result in this game, except a blowout win for the Red Raiders. Kansas has the better talent, but hasn't been a slouch at home, and is in desperate need of another signature win. Luckily, the Jayhawks’ weaknesses are not areas of strength for Texas Tech. Kansas 78, Texas Tech 71.
