We profiled Jones here at RCT after his verbal commitment, a commitment which held strong through a rough season on the gridiron for Kansas. Jones is one of the top prep kickers in the nation, and will bring a strong and hopefully accurate leg to a position of need for the Jayhawks. Jones will be given every opportunity to kick for Kansas for the next four years, as Matthew Wyman is gone via graduation. While he also punted for his high school team, I would expect Jones to focus on place kicking at KU.
