Kansas Football Recruiting Profile: Antonio Cole signs with Jayhawks

Tall, rangy corner could give the KU secondary a boost.

NCAA Football: Kansas at Baylor Ray Carlin-USA TODAY Sports

Despite being a qualifier out of high school, Cole elected to head to Juco to bring up his stock. He was so excited about his visit to KU that he cancelled a trip to Iowa State and pledged to be a Jayhawk. Kansas has been recruiting Cole since his freshman year at Highland CC, and Clint Bowen’s persistence finally paid off. KU likes his versatility in the secondary, which could be huge as KU is losing several seniors to graduation at safety and at corner.
