Kansas Football Recruiting Profile: Quan Hampton signs with Jayhawks

Speedy, athletic receiver comes to KU after a huge senior season in high school.

NCAA Football: Kansas at Baylor Ray Carlin-USA TODAY Sports

Originally committed to Sam Houston State, Hampton decommitted the day after his official visit to Kansas and the next day verbally pledged to be a Jayhawk. Despite his 5’8” height, his vertical jump is a reported 40 inches, and he should bring speed and athleticism to the KU wide receiving corps. Hampton was a two-time all-district selection in football in addition to being an all-district basketball player for his high school. He owns his high school’s records for reception, receiving yards, and most receptions in a single game.
