Johnson is a speedy linebacker who was playing safety his sophomore year in high school before moving to outside linebacker for his junior and senior seasons. Johnson reportedly ran the fastest 40-time at any KU camp last summer, turning in a 4.40 and a 4.42. After finishing his senior year with 125 tackles and garnering first team, All-District nods, he has graduated early and already enrolled at Kansas. Johnson will be on the practice field this spring, getting an entire semester’s jump start on his 2017 classmates. Additionally, he’s no slouch in the classroom, planning on majoring in Pre-Med at KU.
