SI names Kansas LB Joe Dineen a 2nd-team All-American |
A week after learning the Big 12’s coaches voted him a second-team all-conference linebacker, Kansas redshirt junior Joe Dineen picked up a national honor Thursday from Sports Illustrated with an even more prestigious ring to it: second-team All-American.

“I talked to Gerry McNamara and Allen Griffin on the Syracuse staff and we watched the game,” Hopkins explained. “Obviously, I'm really familiar with the (Syracuse) program and you're watching the game and you just figure, this could be our best opportunity to win the game if we do this. And we were able to execute.”

But Mayfield snagged a pair of awards in the leadup by winning the Maxwell, Walter Camp and Davey O' Brien awards on Thursday night.

Forcing Teen to Masturbate for Police Photos Is 'Obvious' Rights Violation, Court Rules
In the latest episode in a twisting and grotesque teen sexting case, an appeals court has reversed a lower court’s ruling related to the case a 17-year-old boy who was asked to strip, then masturbate in front of police officers in Virginia. A district court previously ruled that the estate of the lead detective, who died in 2015, could not be sued for violating the boy’s Fourth Amendment rights. The lawsuit can now move forward.
