Washington Mauls Kansas

NCAA Basketball: Washington at Kansas Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports

Well that was ugly. Kansas was unable to break the Washington zone and fall 74-65 in their first loss of the year. After putting up 70 in his last 2 games, Devonte Graham was a non factor in this one with 3 points on 8 shots. LeGerald Vick led Kansas with 28 points and 7 assists. Kansas just didn’t seem to get their shots to fall tonight with 5-20 three point shooting and a miserable 50% from the free throw line. Bad nights happen to every team. Kansas falls to 7-1 on the season with this loss.

Washington was able to move the ball around and had 4 starters scoring in double figures. Matisse Thybulle led the Huskies with 19 points. This win brings Washington to 7-2 on the year and very well may turn out to be their biggest win on the season.

Up next, Kansas will face off against #16 Arizona State from Allen Fieldhouse on Sunday.
