Kansas heads back to KC to meet up with Washington in a game that was scheduled as a favor to the Porter family (as he was once a UW commit).

Kansas (7-0, 0-0) is currently ranked #2 in the AP Poll and #2 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.

Washington (6-2, 0-0) is unranked.

The Huskies are coached by Mike Hopkins, who is in his first season at the helm in Seattle. The former coach-in-waiting at Syracuse is at his first job as the head honcho.

Kansas leads the overall series with Washington by an 8-1 count, with UW’s lone win coming in 1974 in Allen Fieldhouse. The most recent meeting between these two programs was in 2008.
