Syracuse is coached by Jim Boeheim, who supervised a basketball program that for over a decade played ineligible players by rampantly academic cheating, provided extra benefits, and failed to comply with its own drug testing policies. Officially, Boeheim is is 909-357 in his 42nd season with the Orange after the NCAA stripped 108 wins from his record.
Syracuse leads the overall series with Kansas 3-2, and has won the two most recent meetings, in 2008 and 2003.
