Hard to lose when you can’t miss. That was the story of the Jayhawks 96-58 win over Toledo. After making 81% of their threes in the first half, Kansas went to the locker room with a 59-30 lead. Devonte Graham led all scorers on the night with a 35 point performance.
Azubuike nearly broke the rim with a thunderous dunk and finished with 12 points on a nicely efficient 6-9 shooting. Off the bench, Mitch Lightfoot made the most of his minutes with 4 rebounds and 6 points. Marcus Garrett was unable to score but came away with 7 rebounds and 2 steals.
For Toledo, Nate Navigato and Tre’Shaun Fletcher lead with team with 12 points apiece. Turnovers made the difference with the Rockets turning it over 20 times during the game. Lawrence native and son of Norm, Justin Roberts, started the game and scored 4 points.
