Happy day after Turkey Day! The Kansas Jayhawks welcome the Oakland Golden Grizzlies in to Allen Fieldhouse for game two of the HoopHall Miami Invitational campus rounds. The Jayhawks are coming off a record-setting win against Texas Southern. Can they put on a repeat performance? Take a look at what our staff thinks, and then give us your own prediction below.
Fizzle406: Kind of weird we are playing an NFL team but given the Raiders lack of basketball training, I think the Jayhawks will have an advantage. Kansas 101, Oakland 69
Mike.Plank: I agree, this is extremely weird. I will say that Derek Carr injures his shoulder early in the first half and the Jayhawks take advantage with lots of Udoka dunks down low while Amari Cooper goes 0-12 from behind the arc. Kansas 98, Oakland 70
dnoll5: I want 20 three pointers in this one. Why not? Like the others above, I know very little about Oakland except for the fact that Reggie Jackson played there, MC Hammer wore one of their caps, and, well, nothing else really. So, I’m going to go ahead and say that we will see at least three double doubles in this one: Devonte’, Vick, and Dok. Kansas 95, Oakland 67.
Andy Mitts: Yeah, apparently Turkey Day has put NFL on the brain of the rest of our staff. Kansas is going to roll in this one, but I don’t think it will be anywhere near what we saw on Tuesday. Instead, I’ll say that Kansas makes 11-12 threes, Svi once again leads KU in scoring, and Clay Young scores another bucket in 9 minutes of work. Kansas 94, Oakland 78
