Kansas jumped all over South Dakota State on Friday night, getting a big lead in the early minutes and cruising through the second half for a big 98-64 win.
The Jayhawks led 17-4 by the first TV timeout, eventually opening up what would turn out to be an insurmountable 57-28 lead by halftime. KU would coast through the second half, outscoring SDSU by just five to set the final margin.
Svi Mykhailiuk led all scorers with 27 points on 10-17 shooting, including 5-7 from behind the arc. Lagerald Vick added 22 points on 9-12 shooting, while Udoka Azubuike hit 8-9 shots on his way to 17 points.
Devonte Graham had a quiet 8 points, but dished out 11 assists versus one turnover.
KU went without a turnover for the first 30 minutes of play. It got a little sloppy in the end as the Jayhawks finished with 7 turnovers.
Azubuike is shooting 19-21 (90.4%) from the floor so far this season. If he stays healthy, Kansas is going to have a lot of fun this year, because dude can do filthy stuff like this:
