Kansas rolled past Tennessee State on Friday night, putting the Tigers away early and cruising through the second half for an easy 92-56 win in the home opener.
Kansas opened the game up with a 14-2 run and led by 20 points just eight minutes into the game. TSU would never threaten as the Jayhawks would push the lead to 32 points with 2:55 left to play before halftime and coast through the second half.
Lagerald Vick led all scorers with 23 points on 8-12 shooting, including 4-7 from behind the arc. Devonte Graham had just 10 points but 12 assists to go along with 3 steals, while Marcus Garrett of all people led KU in rebounds with 10, including 3 offensive boards.
Kansas will travel to Chicago to take on #5 Kentucky in the Champions Classic on Tuesday, Nov 14, at 8:30 PM on ESPN.
