It’s official, the basketball season starts tonight. The Kansas Jayhawks begin the games that actually matter with a tuneup against the Tennessee State Tigers tonight. Will Kansas put this one away early, or will they save something for the upcoming massive matchup against the Kentucky Wildcats on Tuesday?
dnoll5: Well, due to blackout restrictions in the KC area under one of the weirder TV deals anyone has ever heard of, I haven’t gotten to watch a game yet. Anyway, I think KU is better than Tennessee State so I’ll go ahead and predict the following things: Devonte’ Graham scores a double-double, Malik Newman does the same, and KU romps to an easy win. All of this is just a guess, but it seems kinda realistic. Kansas 89, TSU 68.
Mike.Plank: Yeah I don’t know anything about TSU either other than they went 12-20 last year. So, hello basketball season. Don’t we play Kentucky soon? Kansas 100, TSU 65.
Fizzle406: after the rough start earlier this week, I think we will see a much better outing. I think Kansas is going to roll to an easy victory. Kansas 100, TSU 65
Andy Mitts: Fun facts about Tennessee State: They have only won once against an AP Top 25 team in 35 tries (against #9 Murray State in 2012). They are only returning two of their starters from last year and were picked 7th out of 12 in the Ohio Valley Conference this year. In short, they shouldn’t be any match for this KU squad, unless Bill Self tries to experiment a bit to see what he has. Kansas 98, Tennessee State 73.
