Athletic Director Sheahon Zenger is thrilled that basketball season is finally here and maybe people will stop giving him such a hard time about KU football.

This is the first game of the season for both squads.

Tennessee State went 12-20 (8-8 OVC) last season, losing in the first round of their conference tournament to end the year.

Kansas enters this season ranked #4 in the AP Poll, and is a popular Final Four pick.

These teams have only met once before, an 89-54 Kansas victory back in November of 2006.
