Kansas Basketball ready for first “real” practice of the year

I’ve got two tickets to paradise

NCAA Basketball: NCAA Tournament-Midwest Regional Practice Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports

Late Night may have been the first official practice of the year, but the Jayhawks get it going for real, starting today in the practice gym.

David Beaty says not very many football programs change without major investment, citing Oregon and Oklahoma State as examples.

We’re all living rent-free in K-State’s collective head. Their AD is right about one thing, it is embarrassing.

UTEP’s head football coach stepped down on Sunday, so the UTEP AD turned to none other than Mike Price as interim coach.

Washington coach Chris Petersen is upset with all the late games Washington has played this year, saying it hurts their national exposure. Dude, if you want earlier kickoff times, come to Kansas.

Chip Kelly is the betting favorite to land the Tennessee job, even though Butch Jones hasn’t been fired yet. (If dude can win nine games a year in the SEC, surely he can win 6 a year at Kansas, right?)

Five games into a five-year deal with a $12 million buyout, some LSU boosters already want to send Ed Orgeron out the door. But maybe, the problem isn’t with the coach, but instead with the person who hired said coach. (Gee, that sounds excruciatingly familiar.)

I sure hope you didn’t have Washington +7 last night against the Chiefs, because wow, talk about your bad beats.
