5-Star PG Devin Dotson commits to Kansas

Kansas now has three top-40 recruits in the 2018 class.

Devin Dotson, a top-40 overall player and a top-10 rated PG in the class of 2018, has verbally committed to Bill Self and the Jayhawks. He chose Kansas over other finalists Maryland and Florida.

Described by scouts as a pass first point guard, Dotson should immediately compete for a starting spot in 2018, as Devonte Graham and Svi Mykhailiuk graduating, and Malik Newman and Lagerald Vick likely considering the NBA Draft.

The 2018 class now includes Dotson along with forwards David McCormack and Silvio de Sousa.

An interesting thing to note is that Dotson and #1-overall recruit Zion Williamson are pretty good friends and have enjoyed playing together in the past, so this could also help KU in their recruitment of Williamson as well.
