Last week: 2-2
Overall picks: 19-13
Man that K-State/Texas was a bad beat, going to overtime, and of course Texas scored the touchdown to cover. I guess I don’t know what the heck TCU was doing against West Virginia - I really feel like that game shouldn’t have been close.
But, KU-Tech, #NailedIt. Wasn’t even nervous when KU was down 35-19 and had the ball in the third quarter. Just kinda knew something terrible was gonna happen, ya know?
Oh well. Such is life.
Standard reminder that you should never, ever, EVER, bet on sports! Standard reminder that this is for entertainment purposes only. I am not a real gambler. This is monopoly money. Do NOT take my advice (EVER). Never bet more than you can afford to lose. Bet with your head, not over it.
TCU @ Kansas State
Line: TCU -6
O/U: 50
Moneyline: +195
Sure, K-State could win this game. I didn’t get to watch much of either team last week, but it’s my understanding that KSU is having some, let’s say, issues, on offense. Conversely, so far this year TCU has looked like one of the best teams in the Big 12. Is this the week where the Big 12’s college football playoff hopes die? I hope not. But am I willing to bet it... hmm... sure why not.
My bet: $40 TCU -6
Texas Tech @ West Virginia
Line: West Virginia -3.5
O/U: 75
Moneyline: +145
Oh boy, two teams with great offenses and below average defenses? That’s a lot of points, but I’m definitely taking the Over on this one. As for the line? West Virginia apparently showed some moxie last week on the road at TCU, so I’m just not sure. But then I remember, this team got frustrated playing Kansas, so, I’m thinking Texas Tech here, even though it’s a road game.
My bet: $40 Texas Tech Moneyline and $20 on the OVER
Kansas @ Iowa State
Line: Iowa State -23
O/U: 64.5
Moneyline: +1100
Uh yeah nobody got rich by betting on Kansas to cover. I’m seriously you guys. Kansas is just 1-4 against the spread this year. David Beaty is just 10-19 against the spread at KU, which is light-years ahead of his ACTUAL win-loss record. Hmm, maybe that’s how he got that extension - “Duh hey look Sheahon, I’m 9-15 in two years!”
I’m sad now.
With the exception of last year, since Mark Mangino left town the score has been pretty one-sided in this series one way or the either, only once favoring the Jayhawks. I can’t do it. I just can’t.
My bet: $40 Iowa State -23
Oklahoma vs Texas (Dallas)
Line: Oklahoma -9
O/U: 64.5
Moneyline: +270
I hate both of these football teams. It seems like whenever they match up, though, the one you don’t expect to win comes out on top. Each program is still breaking in a new head coach. I just kinda wonder how much #Motivation Oklahoma will take from the Iowa State game. Will they allow the Cyclones to ruin their entire season?
My bet: $40 Oklahoma -9
Baylor @ Oklahoma State
Line: Oklahoma State -26
O/U: 68.5
Moneyline: +1750
Wow that’s a big spread. If it matters, Baylor is coming off a bye, but what sticks out to me is that despite the 0-5 record, the Bears haven’t lost a game by more than 14 points yet. But can they hang with Oklahoma State on the road? I’m guessing they can at least stay within four touchdowns.
My bet: $40 Baylor +26

Week 7 Picks
TCU @ Kansas State +6: TCU just keeps chugging along building up wins and I don't think K St has enough to stop the train.
Bet: $30 TCU -6
Rutgers @ Illinois -3: Illinois is terrible, and Rutgers is bad, so I’m taking the points.
Bet: $20 Rutgers +3
Ohio State @ Nebraska +24: An ass whooping followed by a coach firing come Tuesday is ahead for Nebraska. Ohio St could be up 42-3 by half with three Pick-6s involved.
Bet: $100 Ohio State -24
