Kevin Knox is the seventh player in the country for the 2017 recruiting class and the number one player in that class for his state of Florida. Knox made it known via his twitter which teams are still in the hunt for his likely one-and-done services and the good news is that Kansas is one of them.

Knox is actually a very intriguing prospect. He originally wanted to play football as a quarterback but was too tall so he decided to play basketball and if you couldn’t tell he’s pretty good. With his character you hear the same things we heard about ex-Jayhawk Andrew Wiggins. He’s very likeable, respectful and coachable. That is definitely the type of player that fans love.
It may seem crazy but even though we haven’t even seen the likes of Josh Jackson for the Jayhawks, they know and we know Kansas needs to prepare for Jackson to bolt after his freshman season. All signs would point to the fact there is no way Jackson stays for another year and receiving a commitment from Knox would be a huge step in the right direction in re-loading a Kansas roster that might be thin after graduates and possible early-entries into the NBA draft.
Right now it is imperative to keep in mind this is still very early in the recruiting process but Knox is worth monitoring in the coming months.
