Well here we are folks, the end of June, just in time to get this thing rolling in July. This was the hardest part of the bracket to seed - mostly because it became impossible to limit it to 16 spots. So we've expanded this portion of the bracket to 32 seeds, with two play-in matches.
Drumroll, please:
This was basically impossible to seed, so I don't want to hear any complaining. Yes, I looked at James Holt, Charleton Keith, Bradley McDougald, and others suggested in the comments section of a previous post.
As you can see, we're going to make the kickers and punters play their way in against each other.
Your Ring of Honor members in this bracket are the top 6 seeds: Ray Evans, Otto Schnellbacher, Mike McCormack, Willie Pless, George Mrkonic, and John Zook, as well as 9-seed Oliver Spencer.
A final reminder: As each matchup comes up for a vote, we'll give you stats and hopefully some stories about each of these men in order to help you make the most informed choice.
You can define greatest Jayhawk however you want, but seeding was done primarily based on college production, with All-American and All-Conference honors given weight as well as NFL draft position.
Once the brackets have been played out, we'll play off the four winners against each other to determine the greatest KU football player of all-time.
