Kansas Softball drops important series vs Oklahoma State as pitching falters

Jayhawks fail to capitalize at home against Oklahoma State.

KU softball saw a disastrous weekend play out against Oklahoma State.  Looking to make a move in the Big 12 standings, the Jayhawks dropped the first two games against OSU before rain washed out the Sunday finale.

Big 12 Standings

Oklahoma 45-7 15-1

Oklahoma State 27-22 6-9
Kansas 28-20 5-9
Texas Tech 23-32 6-12
Iowa State 20-32 1-14

Kansas really needed to win the series against OSU this past weekend but instead failed to register a single "W."  Fortunately for the Jayhawks, Sunday's game got rained out with KU trailing 2-0 in the third inning.  Oklahoma State takes on in-state rivals and conference leaders Oklahoma next weekend, so the Jayhawks still have a decent shot at finishing fourth in the Big 12.
