The Final Four kicks off tonight in Houston, TX, and even though our beloved Jayhawks aren't in it, I'm guessing many of us will be watching anyway.

How to Watch

The games are on TBS, but if you don't have cable, you can still watch on your phone or tablet for free with the NCAA March Madness App or at  The action gets going shortly after 5 PM Jayhawk Time.

Who's Playing

The early matchup features Villanova vs Buddy Hield Oklahoma.  I'm sure it will be 5-on-5 despite the vehement objections of every talking head out there.  These teams did meet up once in the regular season.  Back on December 7, then #7 Oklahoma destroyed then #9 Villanova by a 78-55 score in Honolulu, HI.

For a matinee, the NCAA has matched up two programs with which its infractions committee should be very familiar.  Syracuse is on probation through 2020 after the NCAA found Jim Boeheim has failed to promote compliance with NCAA regulations since at least 2007.

After being charged in 2015 with lack of institutional control, North Carolina conveniently uncovered additional violations two months later, causing a delay in any possible sanctions and basically guaranteeing Carolina would be able to participate in the postseason this year.

Oh yeah, Syracuse and UNC met twice earlier this year, both Carolina victories.  On January 9, UNC won by an 84-73 score in Syracuse, and on February 29 won again by a 75-70 count in Chapel Hill.
