RCT April Fools day Roundup

We compiled our favorite pranks from today, ones that were both awesome and horrible.

April 1st every year is either amazing or horrible, depending on how much you like people blatantly lying to each other for laughs.  Regardless of how much you like the day, there are definitely some pranks worth mentioning.

We'll start with the KU related ones:

First, on Twitter, @RockChalkStats tweeted out that Bill Self and Kansas were parting ways.  The news was immediately panned and as far as I can tell, no one actually believed it. The tweet had since been taken down, but at least one guy expressed his anger.

@KuBballCamping tweeted out a successful prank.

Here on RCT, we had a few to add to the mix, although we didn't actually try to trick anyone with "news" of Perry Ellis' extra year, the KU-KSU merger or the Charlie Weis indictment.

Outside of the Kansas realm, Google launched a "Mic drop" feature that people accidentally used, with disastrous results, spoiling the fun for the rest of us. A porn site decided to be corny for the day (not a link to the actual site). Deal website decided to celebrate April Fool's Bidet. And that's just a few really good ones.

Let us know which ones you thought were the best. Or just complain in general about people trying/failing to be clever.
