Kansas and Austin Peay State University meet this afternoon in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, IA.
Austin Peay (18-17, 7-9) is coming off an 83-73 win against Tennessee-Martin in the championship game of the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament. Meanwhile, Kansas (30-4, 15-3) enters today's contest off an 81-71 win over West Virginia in the title game of the Big 12 Conference Tournament.
And so it begins. Here we are, for all the marbles. Insert third meaningless cliche. The Governors lost by 40 to each of the only two "high-major" teams they played (Vanderbilt and Indiana), but to be fair, those were their first two games of the year.
