Kansas (25-4, 13-3) currently resides at #1 in the AP Poll. The Jayhawks are coming off a 67-58 home win over Texas Tech in Lawrence.

Texas (19-10, 10-6) comes in at #23 in the AP Poll. The Longhorns are coming off a rather impressive 76-63 victory against Oklahoma in Austin.

Texas is coached by Shaka Smart, who is in his first season in Austin. Smart is 182-66 in 7 seasons overall, with his only prior head coaching experience at VCU. Once again, I'll remind you that Smart has won as many conference titles in his career as I have. (That would be zero.)

KU holds a 26-8 advantage over Texas in the all-time series. KU leads 7-6 in games played in Austin, with all of those contests coming inside the Frank Erwin Center. Kansas has pretty much pwned the Longhorns of late, having won the last four overall, nine of the last ten, and 12 of the last 14 matchups. Since the inception of the Big 12, KU is 22-7 against Texas.

Bill Self is 16-8 all-time against Texas, including 16-6 while at KU.

Kansas is 7-3 versus ranked opponents so far this season.

Kansas is 3-2 all-time on Leap Day.

Kansas is 56-20 all-time on Big Monday, but only 23-19 on the road.

Bill Self is 15-12 on Big Monday road games while at KU.
