Jayhawks can clinch a share of the Big 12 title with the win.

Scott Sewell-USA TODAY Sports

The Jayhawks (24-4, 12-3) wake up early to face the suddenly resurgent Texas Tech Red Raiders in Allen Fieldhouse.  Tech is making the return trip to Lawrence after falling to Kansas by a 69-59 score in Lubbock back on January 9.

Texas Tech (18-9, 8-7) is coming off an 83-79 win against TCU in Lubbock while Kansas enters today's contest off a closely contested 66-60 road victory over Baylor.

Texas Tech is one of the hottest teams in the country right now despite the close call with TCU last week.  The Raiders have a five-game winning streak going and have won 6 of 7 overall. This recent surge comes after a stretch of conference play where Tech lost 7 of 8 after opening the conference season with a home win over Texas.

Here are the essentials:

The Numbers

#2 Kansas: 24-4, 12-3

Texas Tech: 18-9, 8-7

Line: Kansas is a 13.5-point favorite.
