Villanova added to their first-place votes - by one - to "strengthen" their claim on #1. Five teams in last week's Top 10 lost. Xavier, Duke, Baylor, and Inidiana saw decent jumps in the polls, while Dayton and South Carolina both see themselves drop after having a not-so-good week.
#1 Villanova and #5 Xavier face off this week on Wednesday in Philadelphia.
As for the Big 12, it features #2 Kansas, #3 Oklahoma, #14 West Virginia, #17 Iowa State, #19 Baylor, and #25 Texas for a total of six ranked teams. Texas Tech, who is on a four game win streak (and has won five of six), is gaining steam in the receiving votes section. The Red Raiders have knocked off three ranked teams in their last four wins, including Oklahoma.
