Sophomore forward and likely future NBA player Carlton Bragg was arrested last night by Lawrence police on suspicion of domestic battery against a family member, according to the Kansas City Star and multiple other local media outlets.
Details are scant at this time, but it does appear that Bragg remains in the Douglas County jail, and that bond has not yet been set. There is no word on who the alleged assault was directed toward, and “against a family member” leaves too much room for speculation to opine on the situation at this time.
Associate AD Jim Marchiony has released a statement saying the University of Kansas is aware of the incident and is conducting an investigation. He also stated that once the facts were known, they would act accordingly.
Obviously, there is still a lot more to come on this, so check back here on RCT to stay updated as more facts are released.
