Kansas added another defensive lineman to the 2017 recruiting class when JJ Holmes from Hutchinson CC pledged to Beaty and the Jayhawks.
Holmes chose KU over K-State, Iowa State, Kentucky, and just last week took a visit to Missouri. He joins KeyShaun Simmons, another DL JUCO recruit who committed earlier this week.
These two recruits look to add depth to what should be a strength for KU next season - its defensive line. DE Dorance Armstrong was named first team All-Big 12 this week, and DT Daniel Wise was named second team All-Big 12.

Kansas currently has five JUCO recruits lined up to go with nine high school recruits.

TE Salvatore Cannella just picked up an offer from Tom Herman and Texas on Tuesday, so no doubt he’ll be a five-star recruit next week, amirite?
Four-star offensive lineman Adrian Ealy just took a visit to Kansas over the first weekend of December along with RB Tevin Bush, who is currently committed to West Virginia.
All in all, the 2017 class is coming along nicely, and if Beaty can pick up a few more recruits to round this out, it looks like the Jayhawks will have some talent to build on.
