Kansas mauled the Hornets inside Allen Fieldhouse on Sunday night by 42 points, a 104-62 victory.
Recap
Frank Mason led the Jayhawks in scoring for the second straight game, putting up 17 points on 7-7 shooting, plus 5 assists, in only 20 minutes of gameplay.
Early on, ESU kept pace with Kansas, and the score read 11-11 with just over 14 minutes to go in the first half. At that point the Jayhawks had enough, and a behind-the-back pass from Svi to Mason (1:40 mark in the video below) sparked Kansas to a 23-2 run from which the Hornets would not recover. Kansas went on to a 55-29 lead at halftime, and went ahead and outscored Emporia State in the second half by a 49-33 margin to run away with the victory.
