The Jayhawks didn’t exactly struggle with Washburn, but these D2 exhibitions don’t really feel right unless KU ends up putting a proper beatdown on the opponent. KU gets their second and final shot to work out any kinks before the regular season starts tonight with Emporia State playing the role of the patsy. They’ll need to take advantage of the opportunity, because the reality of the tough non-con schedule hits hard this week. KU starts with Indiana in Hawaii on Friday, then they turn around to face #1 ranked Duke just four days later.
