Kansas moves to 3-1 on the season and into the title game of the CBE Classic with an 83-63 victory over the UAB Blazers.
Recap
Kansas opened up a 17-0 lead to start the game as UAB failed to score for the first 6:32 of gametime. Before you knew it, it was 25-3 Kansas and the game was over.
Or so the Blazers would have us believe.
UAB came back with a 14-2 run of their own and by halftime only trailed by nine, 39-30. But the Jayhawks were just too much, as KU started the second half on a 9-0 run and held the Blazers at bay the rest of the way. The closest the Blazers could get in the second half would be 10 points (albeit on two separate occasions) and Kansas ran away with the victory.

This and That
That jetlag finally caught up with the Jayhawks in the final 10 minutes of the first half. After destroying UAB to open the game, Kansas went into some kind of malaise and let the Blazers back into it.
However, the game was never really in doubt. It basically became a Josh Jackson highlight reel. Hopefully he will continue to play this aggressively throughout the rest of the season.
Josh Jackson led all scorers with 22 points on 8-15 shooting.
Frank Mason continued his aggressive play by putting up 20 points on 8-13 shooting, including 3-6 from behind the arc.
Devonte Graham chipped in 16 points on 6-12 shooting, but more importantly, had 7 assists.
Kansas nailed 12-27 (44.4%) three-point attempts.
KU’s early-season struggles from the free throw line continued by only hitting 9-19 (47.4%).
