The Game
You might look at the name and think, “Who?” But don’t take the Blazers lightly. Similar to KU’s last opponent (Siena), UAB is a strong mid-major who is favored to win their conference and go dancing in March. This could be a closer game than anyone wearing crimson and blue want.
However, UAB is missing its best player, and Kansas should pretty clearly have the edge in size and athleticism. UAB is one of the best teams at drawing fouls in the country, and, well, the Jayhawks have been called for a lot of fouls this year. If UAB is to keep in competitive, they’ll need have have a good night at the free throw line.
Look for Kansas to try and get an early lead, hold the Blazers at bay, and pull away late.
Rock Chalk!
