Kansas Jayhawks Football Predictions: Texas Longhorns

Come give us your prediction for this weekend’s home finale against Texas, and then stick around to see how our writing staff feels about the game.

Senior Day is here for football. While we won’t get the speeches that we do for basketball, we still have a great group of Jayhawks to send off. Will the team be able to send these guys off with a conference win? Give us a prediction, then stick around to see what our writers think will happen.

KU Grad 08: Saturday evening my wife and I are going to a french cooking class where we get to learn cooking techniques and eat the things we make (all while doing a wine tasting). That is what I’m looking forward to on Saturday.

Texas 42, Kansas 17.

mikeville: Who is this new guy making predictions? Whatever, "KU Grad 08." You sound like a K-State fan. "Oh we suck so I’m not going to watch." Well, I am going to watch. I’ll watch every agonizing second. It’s senior day, but I really don’t think this will go well - after halftime. Texas 33, Kansas 14.

David: Well, last week I went big and called for an embarrassing blowout loss to Iowa State. I was just off by a week. Texas 49, Kansas 14 (also Grad, wtf man that sounds like a living hell).

dnoll5: I’m in the "not watching" camp. I’ll be over at beinsports watching a soccer match involving two teams from Madrid so feel free to ban me now, mikeville. Atletico 1, Real 1. Also, Texas is going to smash us. Texas 55, KU 17.

Fizzle406: Like Grad I will also not be watching. I have a bacon wrapped turkey breast (NARR) to smoke and possibly some kids christmas presents to put together. As for the game? I predict pain. Texas 55, KU 10

Jakebogen95: Picking a KU football win this point just is downright insane. Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is the definition of insanity. Thank god KU basketball is back! Do I have to make a prediction? Fine… Texas 42, Kansas 17

misterbrain: This is either going to be really good or really bad. Given the up and down we’ve seen from Texas this year, they could come in flat, get behind early thanks to some spectacular defensive plays, start pressing and make more mistakes and Kansas could end up with a victory. What’s more likely is that the defense plays respectably, the offense gets a few big plays but ultimately gets figured out by the more talented and deeper Texas defense, and Kansas collapses down the stretch. A disappointing end to the home careers of some of this squad, but most likely unavoidable. Texas 52, Kansas 13.
