It’s been an agonizing wait for Kansas basketball fans, but it’s finally here, the official start of the regular season! The Jayhawks have never been a team to have a light non-conference slate, and they start off with a bang this year by taking on the preseason #11 Indiana Hoosiers in Honolulu, HI, in the Armed Forces Classic.

The Game
Kansas starts the season on the road for the first time ever in the Bill Self era at Kansas. Both teams come in off of two easy wins over lower-division opponents in exhibition play.
The teams will wear special jerseys for the game which are designed to commemorate and remember the attacks on Pearl Harbor 75 years ago that thrust the United States into World War Two.
Mason and Graham will have their hands full trying to corral James Blackmon, and OG Anunoby really filled up the stat sheet during IU’s exhibition games.
However the game goes, this isn’t college football. It’s not lose and you’re done. The season is long. A win doesn’t mean much, and a loss doesn’t mean much. That said, putting a beat-down on a top-15 opponent in Game 1 would feel pretty, pretty good. Go get ‘em, boys.
Rock Chalk.
