There aren't any nights off in the Big 12, as evidenced by the second conference game of the year as both Kansas and Oklahoma come in with a #1 ranking - and a #2 ranking.

Kansas (12-1, 1-0) currently resides at #1 in the AP Poll (#2 Coaches Poll) and is coming off a 102-74 mauling of Baylor in Allen Fieldhouse.

Oklahoma (12-0, 1-0) is ranked #2 in the AP poll (#1 Coaches Poll). They are coming off an 87-83 victory over Iowa State in Norman. OU's schedule also features wins over Memphis, Wisconsin, Villanova, and Creighton.

Oklahoma is coached by Lon Kruger who is 94-49 in his 5th season with the Sooners. Kruger is 573-353 in 30th season overall. Stops on Kruger's resume include Texas Pan-American, Kansas State, Florida, Illinois, Illinois, and UNLV. Kruger also spent time in the NBA as the head coach for the Atlanta Hawks (2000-03).

Kansas holds a 142-66 advantage on Oklahoma in the all-time matchup. The Jayhawks are 72-16 against the Sooners in Lawrence and 45-7 in Allen Fieldhouse. Kansas has won 13 of the last 15 overall against Oklahoma and 14 in a row vs the Sooners in AFH going back to 1994.

Bill Self is 14-5 against Oklahoma all-time, 14-3 while at KU.

Kansas is 31-1 at home on Big Monday since the inception of the Big 12, including winning the last 24 such matchups. The Jayhawks are also 20-0 under Bill Self at home on Big Monday.

This is only the second time Allen Fieldhouse has hosted a matchup featuring #1 vs #2. On Feb 13, 1990, #2 Missouruh defeated #1 Kansas 77-71.
