Udoka Azubuike Commits To Kansas

One of the top forwards in the class of 2016, Udoka Azubuike committed to Kansas live on ESPNU today. The center originally from Nigeria, Azubuike grew up playing soccer before moving to Florida when he was younger.

Azubuike picked Kansas over North Carolina and Florida State. He is a back to the basket center who already has a college basketball ready frame and a huge wingspan. Although he is big (6'11" 260 lbs), his soccer background has allowed him to show off some nifty footwork, and while he is far from a finished product I think he will thrive in Bill Self's system.

The addition of Azubuike gives Kansas a true inside out combo next year with Carlton Bragg. In addition, those two will combine with Landen Lucas, Dwight Coleby, and maybe even the return of Cheick Diallo to give Kansas a very formidable front line next season.
