After a 19-point blowout at the hands of a now 10-9 Oklahoma State squad last week, Kansas dropped all of one spot in the AP Poll to #4 while holding steady at #3 in the Coaches Poll. Of course, 8 of last week's Top 10 lost, so, there's that.
Oklahoma retained the top spot in the AP but North Carolina took a lot of OU's first-place votes this week. UNC took the top spot from the Sooners in the Coaches Poll.
As for the rest of the Big 12, West Virginia fell to #9 (in the AP) after dropping a game (at home) to Texas. Iowa State checks in at #14 and Baylor is #17. Also, the aforementioned Longhorns are receiving votes in the Coaches Poll.
Other teams of interest include Saturday's College Gameday opponent for the Jayhawks, #20 Kentucky, who smashed Arkansas and Vanderbilt last week and seems to be playing better.
And, as predicted in this column last week, Wichita State has moved back into the Top 25 at #22, because everyone is losing in front of them and the Valley is down this year.
