Kansas (15-3, 4-2) currently resides at #3 in the AP Poll - but that will likely change again on Monday because the Jayhawks are coming off an 86-67 beatdown by middling Oklahoma State in Stillwater.

Texas (12-6, 4-2) comes in unranked. The 'Horns are coming off a 56-49 win in Morgantown against West Virginia. While Texas does have six losses, they are also 4-1 against teams in the top 25.

Texas is coached by he who shall not be named in Jayhawk-land.

Ok fine, just in case you didn't know, it's Shaka Smart, who is in his first season with the Longhorns. Smart is 175-62 in his 7th season overall. His only prior head coaching experience came at VCU, where he famously led the Rams to the 2011 Final Four. However, a certain RCT Twitter operator would like me to remind you that Smart currently has as many regular season conference titles as I do.

Kansas holds a 25-8 advantage on Texas in the all-time series. The Jayhawks are 13-1 against the Longhorns in Lawrence, including 11-1 at Allen Fieldhouse. KU is 21-7 versus Texas since the inception of the Big 12.

Bill Self is 15-8 all-time against Texas, including 15-6 while at KU.

As stated in the open, Bill Self's next win at Allen Fieldhouse will be his 200th at home as the Jayhawk head coach.
