GAMEDAY BREAKDOWN: A look at Saturday's Kansas-South Dakota State football game |
South Dakota State quarterback Zach Lujan has some experience and is a smart player who rarely puts himself in bad positions. That means it’s up to the Jayhawks’ defensive front to force him into mistakes.

KU seeks experience, opening win |
The lack of experience on Kansas University’s football team has been well documented throughout the offseason.

South Dakota State Jackrabbits poised to challenge Kansas Jayhawks in season opener
This is SDSU’s best chance to knock off an FBS team yet, and they know it. They’ll bring an experienced defense to Lawrence, but all eyes will be on the offense, and how quarterback Zach Lujan and running back Brady Mengarelli replace Austin Sumner and Zach Zenner, respectively. This is not a must-win for the Jacks, but they’re not hiding that they want this one bad.

University of Kansas Athletics - Bechard Reaches 300 Wins as Kansas Sweeps Duke, 3-0
As Kansas swept Duke, 25-17, 25-18, 25-23, in the nightcap of the Kansas Invitational on Friday, Bechard became the first coach to reach 300 wins at KU. The Jayhawks also improve to 5-0 on the season for the first time since 2011.

Santa Clara soccer tops KU, 1-0 |
"I thought we played really well today," KU coach Mark Francis said. "Games like that, you turn around and look at the scoreboard and you can’t believe you lost. Defensively, our back three were unbelievable today. We moved the ball well, and because of that, we created some clear-cut opportunities.

The addition in question is not offensive mastermind Gus Malzahn, though his schemes contribute mightily to that experience. It is not returning -- and wildly entertaining -- defensive coordinator Will Muschamp.

Tom Brady on Deflategate: 'Sorry our league had to endure this,' 'we all lost' -
The kickoff for the 2015 NFL season is approaching the hours mark. With Deflategate in our rearview (or perhaps side?) mirror, it's time for football. Tom Brady, fresh off his win over the NFL in U.S. District Court, finally spoke.

Not always easy, but Baylor, Michigan State pick up wins in Friday openers -
Both played outside the comfort of home, and early on it looked as if Baylor wouldn't have much trouble with an SMU team that finished last season 1-11. In typical Baylor fashion, the Bears went 75 yards in four plays and 50 seconds to score their first touchdown. But the Mustangs responded with a touchdown of their own only seconds later ... until Baylor once again went 75 yards in four plays for a touchdown.

Saturday college football storylines: QB questions, SEC West vulnerable -
A sure way to get laughed out of the room on Sept. 5, 2014: Tell all your friends the Big Ten could win the next two national championships. That was a day before Ohio State-Virginia Tech met and roughly a year before the rematch Monday in Blacksburg.

Kanye West’s VMA speech reimagined as a Seinfeld cold open · Great Job, Internet! · The A.V. Club
Twitter user SeinfeldCurrentDay took things to a different comedic level however by pulling out a 30 second portion of West’s speech where he declares not to understand award shows and added some crowd noise and that iconic spunky bass sound to fashion a truly brilliant Seinfeld cold open parody. Just wait until you hear his bit about airline water bottles. Serenity now!
