Kansas Football Reports for Fall Camp Aug. 5; Fan Appreciation Day Set for Saturday, Aug. 8

KU will open practice Thursday, Aug. 6 and will hold its first full-pad practice on Tuesday, Aug. 11. The Jayhawks will go through their first two-a-day practice on Wednesday, Aug. 12. All practices are closed to the public with the exception of Fan Appreciation Day, which will be held in Memorial Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 8.

Bragg’s progress pleases Beaty |

With more experienced players ahead of him on KU’s offensive line and at least three other Jayhawks vying for spots on the depth chart at Bragg’s position, Beaty was asked if he thought the former four-star prospect was still a year away from contributing and his answer emphasized the importance of the next five weeks.

I figured I'd give this a shot. Is it true that KU's fourth-year seniors perform better than the Jayhawks' one-and-dones?

Giles, who is ranked No. 2 in the recruiting class of 2016 by, averaged 23 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and two blocks his junior year. He has a final list of KU, Duke, North Carolina, Wake Forest and Kentucky. He’s currently setting up visits to all five schools and plans on announcing his choice in October or November.
