KU will open practice Thursday, Aug. 6 and will hold its first full-pad practice on Tuesday, Aug. 11. The Jayhawks will go through their first two-a-day practice on Wednesday, Aug. 12. All practices are closed to the public with the exception of Fan Appreciation Day, which will be held in Memorial Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 8.

Giles, who is ranked No. 2 in the recruiting class of 2016 by Rivals.com, averaged 23 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and two blocks his junior year.
