United States Germany Preview

The United States goes for its first mens basketball gold in the World University Games tomorrow morning when it takes on Germany, who skated through an easy pool before narrow wins over Canada and Brazil in the elimination rounds. As has been custom for the United States to see in the tournament, Germany features a lot of 22-24 year olds who aren't NBA prospects but play in good leagues and will pose a definite challenge for the United States. Germany also has three players who played in the NCAA (for San Diego, Gonzaga, and Vanderbilt) but left school early to pursue pro opportunities.
