The Washington Wizards saw something they liked and felt that they just couldn't wait. They traded the 19th pick and a couple future second round picks to move up to the 15th spot to select Kelly Oubre.
Washington will send Atlanta the No. 19 pick tonight and two future second-round picks for Kelly Oubre, league source tell Yahoo.

Without diving too far into lineups, this seems like a big gamble for the Wizards, but may be a bit of insurance in case Paul Pierce decides not to return to the team this coming year. Whether he comes back or not, Oubre will get a chance to prove himself fairly early unless Washington really puts in some work to shore up the 3 spot, as the roster looks pretty thin right now.
The most intriguing part of this selection is the chance that Oubre might get to work with the Jayhawk great should he re-sign.
