Tonight, Kansas basketball gets an extra early start to the season as they open up exhibition play in advance of the World University Games taking place in South Korea early next month. As a refresher, only US born players are eligible for the roster, so Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk (and no, I actually didn't have to look that up) was replaced by SMU guard Nic Moore for the games. In addition, Florida Gulf Coast guard Julian DeBose was selected to replace the injured Devonte' Graham. Both players will be making their debut with the team tonight.
While the actual games over in South Korea are being broadcast on ESPNU, the games in Kansas City are only available through the Jayhawk IMG Radio Network. Both exhibition games will be called by Bob Davis and Greg Gurley. In Lawrence, you can listen on KLWN-AM 1320. In Iola, head to KIOL-AM 1370. Topeka listeners can tune in to KMAJ-AM 1440, and Wichita listeners can catch the game on KFH-FM 98.7 or KFH-AM 1240. Everyone else can listen to the game online here or follow along with the live stats here.
